Studio Friday---Fear

I fear chaos and loss of control. There is a space in my studio that is out of control. Because I don't have time, take time, or make time to gain control over it, I turn my head and deny its existence.

I keep thinking this is a necessary burden of an artist whose palette is never clean. A clean palette means nothing is in the act of being created?

Don't they say that out of chaos comes order? hee-hee. If you can find what what your looking for, no need to do anything:)

Just tackle it slowly.
Take one area/pile/drawer first. Only use a timrframe of up to 2 hrs. a day for it though. otheriwse you'll be exhausted and it has the opposite effect. Decide what you want to do with the things. Move the things out of the room altogether and make three piles. Toss/keep/uncertain.
That way with each item you bring back into your studio you will feel good and refreshed. Put them in their new spots.

We have started to reorganize our house a few weeks ago and it works like a charm. Just don't overwhelm yourself.

You can do it!!

I buy and do not USE therefore I am there too! 15 minutes at a time...sometimes it can get the cleanin' mojo going! Where the heck is that darn organizing fairy? 'Nother trick - call out to your friends...offer food & drinks...they will come! I did it once and they arrived in all their organizing glory!

Just saw your work space and it reminded me of mine, too. How does anyone create in an orderly fashion? I sure can't!
